The inner beauty business materials market, which supports beauty from inside of your body, is estimated to cost over JPY 200 billion. Besides collagen, placenta, and hyaluronic acid as three major beauty materials, and ceramide, elastin, and proteoglycan as standard materials, consumers are now begging to recognise that maintaining a healthy intestinal environment affects skin quality. The needs for fermented foods such as lactic acid bacteria, bifidobacterium, enzymes (fermented plant extracts), yeast, amazake, noodles for the purpose of beauty is growing. Also, whitening skin is now making a new trend as a “drinkable UV care”. Inbound demand is highly concerning because of the growing number of international tourists and the size of inner beauty business materials market is continuously expected to expand.
